Elizabeth Jones ARNP, FNP-BC, IBCLC
Medical Director
Liz is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Liz is highly trained in the identification and treatment of infant oral restriction (lip and tongue tie) and performs laser frenectomy and she serves as PWAL's medical director, ensuring the clinic maintains the highest standards of evidence and science based care.
Liz’s journey with lactation started after the birth of her daughter when she discovered a large gap in perinatal lactation support and care. Encountering vastly different lactation journeys between her two children, Liz identifies with the struggles and victories of breastfeeding.
Her goal is to provide gentle and individualized lactation support and education. She believes parents are the experts in the care of their infant(s), and she works with families to achieve goals based on individual expectations and values. She provides inclusive care to ensure optimal lactation support and improved access for all.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys exploring the pacific northwest with her husband and two kids, traveling to warm places, and spending time with friends and family.

Juliana Johnson ARNP, FNP-C, IBCLC
Director of Clinical Development & Training
Juliana is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. Her tenured, nursing experience involves caring for clients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and homes. Juliana is specialized in complex infant feeding problems, infant tongue tie and sleep consulting and prioritizes continuing education to incorporate evidence and science based recommendations into every visit.
Juliana has advanced training in the identification and treatment of infant oral restriction and performs infant laser frenectomy for infant oral restriction in office. She enjoys working with parents, providing tools and solutions to help them find healthy routines that fit their needs. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University. Additionally she holds her Masters in Nursing, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With a heart for education, she serves as Director of Clinical Training & Development and works with our Registered Nurse Lactation Consultants closely, ensuring the highest practice standards in office.
When not working, she loves to spend time with her 5 children and husband, enjoying the outdoors and traveling.

Jennifer Millich ARNP, FNP-C, IBCLC
Clinic Founder
Jennifer is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and specializes in hands on support for infants and new parents. Jennifer has extensive training in craniosacral therapy and somatic processing and uses these techniques regularly in combination with gentle lactation support. She is also highly trained in evaluation, identification and treatment of infant oral restriction (tongue & lip tie) and, along with performing laser frenectomy for lip and tongue ties, provides parent education, guidance and instruction on latch techniques at breast and bottle in the presence of infant oral restriction.
Jennifer founded the clinic with her dear friend, BreAnne Marcucci, in 2017 in Everett, WA.
When away from work you can find Jennifer in her garden, cultivating her many flowers, caring for her animals including chickens and dogs and cooking with her two kids and husband. Jennifer holds a Master of Science in Nursing and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

BreAnne Marcucci ARNP, FNP-C, IBCLC, PMH-C
Clinic Founder
BreAnne is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Perinatal Mental Health Certified Prescriber. She dedicates her practice to holistic and gentle care and has a special passion for lactation, careful identification and treatment of infant oral restrictions (lip-tie, tongue-tie) and perinatal mental health. BreAnne looks at each family individually and emphasizes the importance of tailored specific care to meet the needs of her clients. BreAnne founded the clinic in 2017 with her dear friend and colleague, Jennifer Millich.
BreAnne has extensive training in infant oral restriction including completion of the ALSC Laser Dentistry, Laser Surgery and Laser Safety Studies.
When she is not at the clinic, she enjoys a hobby garden, plant identification, listening to science fiction novels and spending time with her husband their two children at home in their backyard rain or shine.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Michaleah McAnelly BSN, RN, IBCLC
Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant
Michaelah is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She earned her BSN in Oklahoma before moving to the Seattle area and serving 4 years as an active duty Army Nurse. She has over 8 years of experience working in maternal child health- including labor and delivery, postpartum and lactation care. Through her experience she has developed a passion for supporting families through their feeding journey. She is certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant by the IBLCE and is currently in school at the University of Washington pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
In her free time Michaelah enjoys being outdoors- traveling, hiking, jogging, or spending time with her husband and their 3 boys.

Carly Chang-Bocanegra BSN, RN, IBCLC
Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant
Carly is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Her background is in public health nursing, providing empathetic care to parents and infants of all backgrounds. In Southern California she conducted home visits for high-risk low-income families of color with new babies, assisted with vaccination efforts for people experiencing homelessness. There she also led triage teams for refugee families stuck at the southern border. She is passionate about supporting all families with feeding difficulties so they can meet their goals and enjoy their babies.
Carly lives in Seattle and likes to walk, bike, and thrift with her husband and son. She enjoys watching comedy shows, creating playlists with 60s soul or Spanish trap, and admiring her many house plants.

Tessa Brusburg RN, CLE
Registered Nurse Certified Lactation Educator
Tessa is a registered nurse, certified lactation educator, birth and postpartum doula, and a perinatal educator. She discovered her passion for all things pregnancy, birth and baby at a young age and has worn many different hats throughout her career, always supporting new families through the many transitions associated with a new baby. Tessa is dedicated to providing compassionate, inclusive care to every patient. She believes that every feeding journey is unique, and that with the right support and information, every family can feed their baby in a way that is worth celebrating.

Joanna Kim BSN, RN, IBCLC
Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant
Joanna is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Joanna has years of experience working in a level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and trauma center. She has extensive experience in specialized care for premature and medically fragile infants including babies born less than 27 weeks and weighing less than 1,000g. Joanna is highly trained in bottle feeding difficulties of the premature newborn and has expertise in bottle to breast feeding. Her goal is to provide support for complex lactation and infant feeding problems and help parents gain confidence with feeding techniques in a non stressful manner for beginner/difficult feeders.
In her free time, Joanna enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, eating, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Emma Fischbein BSN, RN, IBCLC
Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant
Emma is a Registered Nurse and Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She has a professional background in psychiatric and mental health nursing with diverse populations throughout the life span, and is experienced in understanding and supporting individuals through various life stages and challenges. Driven by a passion for perinatal care, Emma has transitioned her focus to providing invaluable support to families during this crucial period. She strives to integrate her expertise in mental health into her work as a lactation consultant, recognizing the profound impact it can have on the well-being of both parents and newborns.
Emma is committed to offering gentle, judgment-free care to individuals and families who seek support, ensuring that every individual feels valued and supported on their breastfeeding journey.
Emma spends her free time knitting, gardening and exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband, two children and two dogs.

Grace Forster BSN, RN, CBS
Registered Nurse Certified Breastfeeding Specialist
Grace is a Registered Nurse Certified Breastfeeding Specialist with years of experience in postpartum and labor & delivery care, as well as IV infusion therapy for chronic illness. Her passion for supporting new families led her to focus on lactation care, where she combines her clinical expertise with a calm, compassionate approach. She is currently working toward becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and will be sitting for the exam later this year.
Grace is dedicated to helping parents feel confident and empowered as they navigate feeding challenges. She believes in the body’s natural ability to nourish and heal and is committed to providing education and gentle support through every step of the feeding journey. Whether working with first-time parents or those facing more complex situations, Grace creates a safe, and warm space where families feel seen, supported, and truly cared for.
In her free time, she enjoys walking her dog, staying in and cooking with her husband, watching
movies, or curling up with a good book.

Mackenzie Madsen
Patient Service Representative
Mackenzie is our dedicated Patient Service Representative with a passion for providing exceptional healthcare experiences and ensuring that every patient feels valued and supported. She offers a calming, regulated presence in the midst of crisis, attending to the needs of each family individually. Her passion for a seamless and positive experience in healthcare is evident as she walks families through what to expect in every process at PWAL with empathy and understanding.
Outside of the office you will find her exploring antique shops, experimenting with new recipes and creating delightful treats, as well as spoiling her Cat and Dog. In both her professional and personal life, she believes in embracing each moment with positivity and kindness.

Denise Luckovich
Office Manager
With over 20 years of experience in clinic administration and management, Denise brings a deep understanding of patient care, clinical operations, and team leadership to her current role as Clinic Manager. During the two decades she formerly dedicated to ophthalmology, she has developed a passion for optimizing clinical workflows, supporting healthcare professionals, and ensuring high-quality patient care and experiences.
Now serving a dynamic team of Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners and Lactation Consultants, she has seamlessly transitioned into a broader healthcare management role. Denise is committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where providers are empowered to deliver the highest quality care for their patients and families feel heard and valued while receiving compassionate care.
Known for her leadership style and commitment to operational excellence, Denise is proud to support this remarkable team as they continue to grow and meet the evolving needs of the community.
Outside the clinic, Denise enjoys sharing the finest cup of coffee with her husband and taking relaxing getaways to Palm Desert—her favorite place to recharge and find inspiration.

Erica Fortygin
Billing Specialist
Erica PWALs primary billing specialist whose passions for organization, finances and people unite to create the perfect role for her. She aims to make the financial aspect of patients receiving care, as stress-free and as fluid as possible. She completed a Healthcare information Technology program at Edmonds Community College and later became a Certified Professional Medical Coder under the American Academy of Professional Coders.
When not at work, Erica enjoys all things nature, traveling, volunteering as a preschool teacher and barista at her church, attending and organizing various events, and reading and baking when she is at home
